To empower immigrants through comprehensive, culturally responsive programs that promote diversity, inclusion, resilience, advocacy, restorative justice, gender equity, and support for complex PTSD. CIIC Youth Celebration of Learning Program
GirlzGotMoves

Stand for Children commits itself to helping students receive a quality education regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or geographic location. The organization engages parents to actively support their children’s education.

Girlzgotmoves is a firmly established dancing group that has been around for ten years. We are three teens who have a passion for dancing. Girls Got Moves is an extremely hard-working, bold, and innovative dancing organization that grows stronger each year. We have been invited to events all throughout Edmonton and have hosted numerous fashion displays under our own name over the years. We want to start a dancing business that will work with after-school programs and preschools to motivate young children through fitness and enhance their self-esteem. Girls Got Moves is a non-profit organization recognized with the government of Alberta.

Our Goal

Our primary goal is to focus on early intervention, beginning the moment immigrants arrive in Canada. We aim to provide essential education about Canadian laws, right, and social norms, ensuring that newcomers are fully informed and prepared to navigate their new environment. By equipping immigrants with knowledge and resources from the start, we foster smoother integration, enhance community engagement, and support their long-term well-being and prosperity.
